Allowing Our Emotions

 

It can take great courage to really sit with our emotions, allowing ourselves to surrender to their powerful energies. All too often we set our emotions aside, thinking we will deal with them later. If we don’t deal with them, we end up storing them in our minds and bodies and this is when anxiety and other health issues can arise. Denying what our bodies want to feel can lead to trouble now or down the line, which is why being in the thick of our emotions, no matter how scary it seems, is really the best thing we can do for ourselves.

This past week-end I participated in an intensive three day Pranic Healing Seminar. During this training I was able to observe and learn first hand how our thoughts affect our aura’s (energy fields) and our physical bodies. Every thing that is physical, first began as just a thought. Nothing more, nothing less. Just one thought, which with continued thinking becomes an idea, a feeling, an emotion, a sensation. The stronger the emotions and the beliefs about this thought, the more we think about it, the more we feel it, the stronger it becomes. As the focus on that thought form continues, it eventually becomes a physical reality. Whether it is some dis-ease in the physical being, a positive belief in your life, or a negative belief that stays with you, it is there.

One of the techniques unique to Pranic Healing is that the practitioner can assist in the recognition and removal of such unwanted beliefs along with the associated emotions, feeling, and discomfort. It is comforting to know that there are ways to remove the old beliefs and feelings and their connections to our physical being. Our culture tends to not traditionally support emotional awareness. However with the awareness of such tools and the knowledge that there are processes to bring us clarity, awareness, and healing, we are able to trust in growth and expansion.
 

Our emotions are our guidance system giving us direction in allowing our intentions and desires to manifest. When we listen to those emotions that come to us from our inner being, we more unmistakably are able to shift to a better feeling emotion, thought and sensation. One of the deeper purposes of our emotions is to transform the terrain of our inner world, sometimes creating space for more feelings to flow, sometimes providing sustenance for growth. All we need to do is allow the process by relaxing, opening, and receiving the bounty of our emotions.
