Newsletter Archives Defining Desires
Hello Everyone!
One of the main strategy’s to living a life you would like is to choose what you want to co-create. The Universal Law of Attraction states: “that which is like unto itself is drawn.” As you choose your desires, no matter what course you select to follow, it’s all about defining what you desire. “A brief precise statement of what a word or expression means, and “clarification: the act of describing or stating something clearly…”
I selected 7 general categories most of us often view as the basics of our lives: spiritual, physical, family, recreation, vocation, community, financial. The more detail you add to the definition of your intentions for each category, the more clearly you begin to see it. As you look into the many facets of each wish, it becomes more real to you.
Your conscious mind is like the captain of a ship. Your subconscious or non-conscious mind is the crew. The captain of the ship sets the course of travel. Rarely, if ever does a ship leave port without a destination. Just as the pilot of an airplane files his flight plan. He ultimately is the conscious creator of that particular flight the plane is taking. Nor does an airliner take off and just “fly around” randomly from place to place. And so it is with your life. When you don’t choose where you are going or what you’d like to create, you are literally living by default. That’s when you get what you don’t want and want what you don’t have!
Vision boards, creation posters, and scrapbook albums are some of the ways you may further define your aspirations. As I said, the more clearly you describe, articulate and define your choices, the easier it is to imagine and the quicker it will come to you.
Including details of color, style, brand, location, all bring more reality to you.
Next, opposite each positive statement of desire write why you want this.
For example, my desire is to lose weight. Why do I want to lose ten or twenty pounds?
I will feel healthier and have more energy.
I will feel more attractive.
I will be able to go hiking and fishing with my family.
I will enjoy going shopping for new clothes.
I will have fun wearing clothes hanging in my closet……
You get the picture? Make sure these are ALL positive statements, from the sentences written initially describing your choices, to all the phrasing defining everything.
In life and in the Universe, NOTHING stays the same. Change is crucial in life and in creation. You are always moving and shifting in every aspect of your life. One of the great things Abraham tells us is we are co-creators with the Universe. You came into this lifetime, right here, right now, to create. Change is an integral part of creation. There are times when you fear change; you fear what might be coming, what you don’t know is ahead in life. The great thing about this technique is you take a lot of the fear out of life when you choose what you do want. No matter what aspect of your life you’d like to live differently change is constantly changing.
As you are creating this journey of your life in 2010, remember you can choose any thing! As long as you’re creating, why not create your ideal situation? As long as you’re going for it - go for it ALL THE WAY!
An opening sentence may be: “I am in the process of attracting all that I need to do, know and have to attract my ideals.” A great closing sentence is: “The Law of Attraction is unfolding and orchestrating all that needs to happen to bring me my desires.” …Law of Attraction by Michael J. LosierHave fun with this process. Remember life is a journey, not a job. You were born to create, to be joyful and free. Enjoy your week and your creative change!
With Love, Light and Blessings,
