BETRAYAL

This week I have learned much about life, myself and my personal growth. I’ve had an amazing lesson that has led me to examine my inner beliefs about honor and integrity. I’m sharing this with you to show you that we’re really never alone in our quest for higher vibrational energy, more spiritual knowledge and becoming greater creators for the Universe.

We’ve all experienced betrayal during our lives. Whether it’s a friend sharing with other’s what we kept as secret, being dumped by a boyfriend, to the trauma of a spouse or mate cheating on us, betrayal is extremely hurtful and deeply cutting.

In the business world betrayal seems to be all too common, especially in the past several years. The financial market of the USA is full of examples of betrayal as investors misuse innocent peoples’ retirement funds, and their reliance in investment processes.

There are other types of betrayal as well. Countries do not honor promises to citizens, peace treaties or agreements with one another. Rules and/or laws made to protect the people of a country are twisted by elected officials or regulators and used against the population.

Families do not honor their senior’s. I recall the sacrifices and devotion as a parent to my children. I recall the long nights of infant feedings, sitting up with a feverish child, the crisis of injuries and illnesses. The next morning I would get up and start the day all over again with not only the ill child, but the other children and daily duties entailed as a mother.

So when an elderly parent is ill and dependant on extra care from others, do they get it? Usually, yes, the care is there. Is a loving hand reached out to them from their family to care for them? Oftentimes there is not. Now, I understand the arguments that families today are busy, finding the necessity of both parents working full time and day care needs a must for younger children. I just always wonder about the devotion of parents for the young children followed later in life by the full circle of family commitment. Are we, as adults, willing to give the same level of devotion to our elders that were given us as infants?

The final betrayal sort that I have discovered is of spiritual level of duplicity. Choosing from your heart place, to follow the teachings of a particular discipline or philosophy is often of the essence to our progress. As we commit to follow a certain path of attainment, we give our spiritual expectations over to that teacher. We trust that they will lead us truthfully, sincerely and with integrity. And yet, we must also be mindful they are human, on a path to their own realization. Choose carefully, wisely, and check in with be your inner perception’s from time to time. While there is much excavating of egotistic belief’s, choosing new personal principle’s and transitioning to a more clearly defined pathway, always maintain your own sense of integrity.
