As presented by Cheryl Richardson “I Can Do It At Sea” conference cruise Cheryl Richardson was our final speaker of the cruise week. She is a Life Coach and Extreme Self Care teacher. She presented us with this wonderful plan to take home with us; it’s one thing to be with 1800 other like-minded people, with wonderful speakers, and a totally ‘flip’ of reality to be back at home. Cheryl took the topic of each of our presenters for the week and created this 7-step plan to implement what we have learned. One thing I need to say no to in my life is:______________________________ 2. Dr. Brian Weiss, “Meditation and Past Life Healing Regression” It is known that meditation is one of the most powerful relaxation techniques there is, aiding us in relaxation, focusing, pain relief, emotional release. When we decide to resign as the general manager of the Universe, we still have our hands on the wheel; we are letting our source and soul knowingness be our guide. Abraham gives us a wonderful process for asking for help. It is called the “Placemat Process” Relax and write down a list of things that you want to accomplish and need help with. Ask for help and support from those around you. One column is ‘Things I need to do” and the other column is “Things for the Universe to do”. You will find in the Universal way that help comes in various forms. It’s actually fun! One thing I need help with in my life is:_____________________________________ 3. Baron Baptiste, “Loving Self - Care of the Body” Who do you hang around with? Are the people in your life uplifting to you or are they energy vampires? Are they chronic complainers? Is your friend dumping his/her negativity on you? No one has the right to suck your energy. Ask yourself, am I an energy drainer, a gossiper, a drama queen? Let’s say you have a good friend, but every time she calls to talk to you on the phone, there is some crisis in her life, or she complains about others, her job, and her kids. There is a wonderful quote from James Parker, D.C. that says “If you want to be successful you must act as if you are already successful, and associate with those who are successful.” Here I remind you to choose those with like-minded success images. A reminder: When dealing with a negative person, keep your tone and thoughts honest and kind. “Explain that their friendship means a lot to you; but when you call and tell me all of this it really upsets me. I want to be honest with you. If you want to take action, as I am, I’ll support you. I know you’ll forget this, so let’s gently remind each other, okay?”
One energy drain that I need to plug in my life is:__________________________
4. Carolyn Myss “Entering Your Castle” This is a reminder to examine the space in which we live or work. Is it a space that allows new opportunity? Is our home so cluttered that there is no room for anything else? More importantly, is there any place for ‘new energy’ in your personal space? How about your beliefs? Are your present beliefs full of what you used to believe to be true, that no longer serves or reflects who you are now? Eliminating what’s draining you creates a virtual and literal, vacuum to bring in newness in all aspects of your life. Your clothes closet, kitchen cabinets, the garage, storage shed, cupboards are all places where we block the new flow of abundance to our lives. The power of space allows goodness to flow, bringing you a fuller life. Wisdom and insight need space to flow to you.
[A personal example Cheryl gave is that of stacks of unread books or magazines. That really was a personal ‘hit’ for me. That and the fact that I am a packrat (you never know when you might need it?!) I have already begun to refocus on my space.] As I write this to you I hear sweet laughter from my Angels! Thank you!
One space I need to clear in my life is:______________________________
5. Marianne Williamson “Midlife Miracles” Marianne is a powerful teacher of “The Course in Miracles”.One of the topics that she spoke of is our Absolute No List. The absolute no list is things that we absolutely do not want to do. Additionally make an Absolute Yes List that includes things you really want to do. www.emofree.com gives lots of examples. A few examples are I no longer wish: to live without pets, rush, jump out of bed, I no longer smoke, I no longer keep my mouth shut when someone is out of line, no longer gossip, no longer clean my house (hire someone!) no longer answer the door or the phone during meals, no longer commute. I no longer keep my thoughts to myself, no longer participate in relationships that do not honor me. I no longer finish reading a book I don’t like, no longer eat when I’m not hungry. As we begin to honor ourselves and our desires and wishes we are more alert and awake to our personal wisdom and insight. We go from being asleep and unconscious beings to awake, and powerful examples of humanity. We evolve from separation from God to accessing more deeply our spiritual being.
One choice I add to my Absolute No List in my life is:_______________________
1. Loretta LaRoche “Laughter for the Soul” Loretta is an incredibly funny woman. She had all 1800 of us laughing nearly nonstop for two hours! Her response? “Your sides hurt? Quit complaining! You’re having fun. Your arteries, veins, muscles, tendons, thoughts, brain function are all exercising and they love it!”
Cheryl relayed the story of her new kitten “Grey Poupon” Briefly, it seems she went to a shelter’s Kitten Shower; a party to bring gifts for the animals there. She had promised her husband she wouldn’t come home with a new pet. When she went to the kitten room, there was this tiny kitty on the floor looking right at her. Cheryl picked her up, cuddled her and gave her to her husband, where kitty promptly snuggled and fell asleep. As he put her down, she pooped. Long story short, her name is “Grey Poupon”! You see there is laughter and joy in every part of your life. Laugh a deep, hearty belly laugh every day. Watch comedy such as “I Love Lucy”, Friends, Seinfeld, Marx Brothers old movies.
It’s healthy for you! Dance to the music!
I choose to laugh and dance every day!
7. Doreen Virtue, “Angels” Each of us has at least one guardian angel and one departed loved one with us. Angels are always available to us; we need only to ask or think the thought and they are immediately there. Trust your gut feelings about the angel’s messages and what message you receive. Our ego has a logical over-ride that can talk us out of guidance. Take just one step at a time; listen to your Divine Guidance. Doreen says two very important things to remember are your intent and to breathe.
Cheryl Richardson left us with this wonderful prayer:
“I am open and receptive to the power of grace,
and I ask to be shown clear examples of how this
energy is operating in my life.”
I wish each of you a wonderful week. May each of us ask “How May I Serve?”
I look forward to your response; you are welcome to share your "Action Plan”
