Teachings of Abraham
Study Group May, 2009
Don’t let the “reality” of something be the basis for your attention.
Let the basis of your attention be the feeling vibration that you feel.
When someone tells you, based upon your comments, that you’re not facing reality, reply to them: “I do face reality, my reality.” Be selective of what your personal reality is. Remember that every reality has been focused into being by someone and that someone is rarely our self. As you become more discriminating as to what you believe, you will feel that your daily life becomes more joyful and easy. Your emotions will be more in tune with who you desire to be and how you choose to live.
In the recent swine flu pandemic the news media and government agencies were creating a reality for much of our nation and the world at large. The mass consciousness created a realism based on a fear of extreme illness, in a society already fearful of financial ruin. The trepidation and spin put on much of our population created a compounding of more alarm, more fear, and thus more imbalance on all levels.
I personally found myself reaching deep within my spirit to create my own reality - which is balanced health and financial stability. I recalled a severe flu outbreak in the 1950’s when as a child I was very ill. That emotion came blazing back to me. Then I “walked the talk” of choosing a new physical health-related reality for myself. Daily I said “ ’I AM’ healthy and whole. Every time I heard about an illness I repeated that mantra. Some days it seemed as if I was saying it all day long. And I AM healthy and whole. Thank you!
As you realize that just the slightest improvement in your thought is of great value to you it becomes easier and easier. As you align with each better feeling thought you are aligning with your Inner Being and your True Self.
A familiar question clients often ask during reading sessions is whether they are on their right path and what their path is. The response often is: “Are you doing what makes you happy?“ “At this time, right now?“ That brings up another question: “Am I living my life with inspiration or motivation?” The dictionary defines inspiration as the stimulation to do creative work, the quality of being stimulated. This can include a sudden brilliant idea or thought, the influence of a creative setting, insight, revelation, following your soul quest, or divine guidance and influences.
Defining inspiration further, ask yourself: “if I do such and such, these good things will happen to me.” Inspired action comes from a positive place.
The creative processes given us by ‘Abraham’ are wonderful ideas and have brought inspiration to me many times. By nature I am a creative, visual person, enjoying crafting, painting, needlework, and now writing. I often use the Creative Process to pique my inspirational ideas.
Motivation is described with “…if I don’t do such and such, these bad things will happen.” thus attempting to motivate you to perform from a negative place. Motivation comes through incentives, driving forces, and enticement. An example of motivation is sales people who are encouraged and challenged to perform for their employer. Often employers use bonus plans to urge the sales staff to greater performance numbers. Instead of inspiring the staff within their individual creativity, mandatory and negative guidelines are enforced. Either you reach this sales figure or else! Doesn’t feel so enjoyable does it?
How do you feel about the things that you are giving most of your attention to? A great technique for balancing and finishing the day is to spend some time reviewing your day before you go to sleep. I ask myself how I felt during the day, did I accomplish what I set out to do, was I kind and loving? Did I praise and encourage, or snap, criticize, make judgments, or force my uncalled-for advice? Part of that examination time is spent noticing whether my emotions were happy, calm, stressful, frustrated or angry. I close with forgiving myself, recalling the negative back and dissolving it unto the Universe for clearing and balancing. I then intend to have a better day tomorrow. Relaxing sleep comes much easier to me.
Remember, each of us is the writer of the script of our life. Every person involved in our life is only playing the part we have assigned to them. If your life is not how you want it, change it! The process of Virtual Reality is a fun, easy way to begin writing your life, your way.
Abraham asks that I remind you:
“The Proven Processes have been given to you as tangible, real ideas for creating the life you choose for yourself. We cannot say it often enough, use the processes, use the processes, use the processes. They are tools that will change your life. Education and learning is wonderful and necessary in your world. As you learn, then do. Doing comes from learning. Doing and being is more important to your spiritual progress than all that reading. You already have the ability to achieve. It is within you; we are just reminding you of what you already know.”
I send Love, Light and Blessings of the Universe to each of you.
Namaste, Donna Rae
