When I am too tired to walk?

Shall you lend me your arm to lean on when I am slowing?

Shall you loan me your walking stick, as I grow weary?

When I am crying and too discouraged to continue

Will you make me laugh through my tears?

When I am alone and afraid

Will you be the friend that stands by me?

When I am too sick to care for myself

Will you be my angel of mercy?

When I am so happy, I think I might burst

Will you be laughing and crying with me?

When love comes to me, so handsome and sweet

Will you rejoice in my good fortune?

When I give birth to my child

Will you vow to raise her when I am gone?

When we begin to grow old

When I stumble and fall

Will you pick me up?

When there is no one else that I can turn to
