About Channeling

Throughout recorded history it has been thought that only those with a special gift could connect with a spirit guide, their higher self or the universal mind. Channeling involves achieving an expanded state of consciousness that allows us to connect with a high-level guide or your higher self or source self. In the past the words “medium” or “psychic” were used when speaking of contacting guides. This is being replaced by the word “channel”.

There are two main techniques of mediumship that have developed in the latter half of the 20th century. One type involves those who are “sensitive” who can communicate with spirits and then relay what they receive to their clients. The other, “trance channel” is where the channeler enters a state of unawareness of their physical body and allows the entity speaking to use the body as an instrument with which to communicate for the benefit of others. Trance mediumship is often seen as a form of mental mediumship.

There are many ways of receiving guidance and direction from the universal mind. The most modern and present-day is Abraham and Esther & Jerry Hicks. Abraham is a group of non-physical entities that through meditation and Esther’s desire to contact her spirit guide began to interact. I recommend the book, “Ask and It Is Given” (The Teachings of Abraham). It is simple basic information that helps us to live the lives of our dreams.

With channeling you can access all the ideas, knowledge, and wisdom that is and ever will be known. I have listed some questions that you might want to ask of a universal nature and some of a personal nature. Guides will not take away people’s lessons, but help them to understand them. Guides will not violate a person’s privacy; they will not reveal anything that violates the privacy of another person. Guides give more profound information to people who are likely to honor and use it. Those asking questions out of idle curiosity may find their answers to be of a superficial nature.
